IT now looks unlikely that a town centre casino will be open in Castlebar before Christmas. A decision had been due on November 5 in relation to a planning application lodged by Mr Michael Murray of Four Aces Casino, Dominick Street, Galway to open a casino above the Bruce Betting shop on Linenhall Street in the town.
But the Council have now requested further information off the applicant, who now has up to six months to respond to the request. Once the further information is received, the Council then have four weeks to make a decision on the application.
